"Forever Cruelty / Forever Blasphemy" they chant... Filthy blackened death metal / thrashy black metal hailing from Switzerland (fuck me, really?), these guys are playing it raw, they have some amazing riffs and guitar work (e.g. Forever night) but in all honesty, I saw the cover art and I thought to myself, "I must have this" :))

Hailing from Switzerland, TEMPLE OV PERVERSION are a young band with old souls. The band's first demo, Rehearsal MMXVII, was a rough 'n' ready display of their ancient, witching black metal, suggesting salacious glories to come. Alas, they have arrived with Temple Ov Perversion, a veritable bounty of black filth, lust, and sleaze. Despite its release in the year 2019, one could mistake TEMPLE OV PERVERSION's true opening salvo as some long-lost relic of the early '90s, announced on fliers that a release was forthcoming on Deathlike Silence Productions; cult names invoked include Hadez, Imperator, Mortem, and Hungary's Tormentor. Four songs in 20 minutes, each as stout and swaggering as the next, and what you altogether get is a loose 'n' lawless expurse of sonic sodomy that's immediately headbanging and evil as fuck: no scenes, no rules, NO LIGHT! TEMPLE OV PERVERSION play black metal in the old vein exclusively!

So many good reviews here, I don't have much to add, apart that this LP of Insanity Cult, especially the howls and high-pitch shrieks really reminded my of "When The Light Dies" from Mexican raw BM act Luciferian Rites. The raven-like croaking vocals are spot-on, and I can't wait for the newest LP to come out (on 28.2.25 )!!

Greek BURIAL HORDES reached new depths here, this dissodeath album is crushingly loud, and while their BM past may have influenced on some of the song writing, this opus is a massive slab of earth shaking DM! "Ruins" seems quite the perfect title indeed, because after it is played (loud), nothing remains but ruins. Phenomenal 5th LP and Opus Magnum!!

I love the synth work in this, it adds such another level of drama to the raw and bitter tremolo riffs. Everything is mixed very well but still has that lofi production.
