YomaBarr Stop speeding, Yoma! 😆

Alright, I've got a truckload of new music now (thanks again, friends!), but I just couldn't resist. Good for getting smashed against a tree on a motorcycle, not out of despair, out of hyperenthusiasm. Thanks for your music, guys!

Album of the summer?

sashavonkarl74 "The True Harmful Black" as title is quite threatening for an album, the second by this German duo, and the sonic maelstrom we get in the two pre-released tracks is promising indeed. This is some fine blackened DM with emphasis on outstanding guitar work, as I can tell.
I truly can't wait to heat the full album! Favorite track: The Primordial Maze And The Crawling Chaos.

about

On April 11th internationally, PERSONAL RECORDS is proud to present THE INFERNAL DECEIT's highly anticipated second album, The True Harmful Black, on CD format.

Hailing from Germany, THE INFERNAL DECEIT emerged from the cold vortex of darkness in 2018. A duo of guitarist / bassist C and vocalist R, THE INFERNAL DECEIT forge their defiant identity with the brutal darkness of melodic, blackened death metal. Their debut album, The Formless Graves, was initially self-released on CD in 2021, followed by a vinyl release via Idiots Records in 2022. In addition, the previously unreleased song "The Divinity of Forsaken Idols" was launched on the Hymns of Eternal Decay compilation that same year via Suffer Productions.

As 2024 drew to a close, THE INFERNAL DECEIT completed recording of their second album, The True Harmful Black. Joining the duo on session drums is Jörg Uken, and together do they make The True Harmful Black a stunning throwback to mid / late '90s blackened death of a European variety: haunting, epic, dynamic, but above all DARK, THE INFERNAL DECEIT here give a masterclass in majestic, melodic songcraft. Stylistic nods are bountiful - prime Unanimated, second- or third-album Sacramentum, Darkside-era Necrophobic, the lone Vinterland album, '90s Naglfar or Ebony Tears or Sweden's Eucharist, or even In Flames' never-sullied The Jester Race - and if anything, more than merely aping those noble influences, THE INFERNAL DECEIT manage to add their own linguistic flair to this still-enduring lexicon. And yet that lineage would be nothing without riffs, and The True Harmful Black has RIFFS aplenty - thoughtful, interesting, perhaps-progressive, but always-propulsive ones - with everything wrapped in a clear & crushing production, courtesy of a mix & master at Soundlodge Studio. The album is nothing if not honest and authentic, and that's fully felt across its ten-song / 48-minute duration.

Completed by utterly fitting cover artwork courtesy of Roberto Toderico, with The True Harmful Black do THE INFERNAL DECEIT deliver extreme melodic metal ART. Only superior darkness!
