During Daryl Banner's time in college, he wrote, composed, and produced a musical under Tony Award-winning musical and Theatre producer Stuart Ostrow, as well as two original plays produced under the mentorship of Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Lanford Wilson, who also mentored Daryl through the writing of his very first novel. In addition to new adult and M/M romance, Daryl also writes post-apocalyptic fantasy as well as dystopian.

    This book consisted of three full stories - Hard For My Boss - Dorm Game Novella and Straight Up Novella.

    Hard For My Boss - worth more than 5 stars! Fantastic read with some laugh out loud moments near the beginning and an enormous laugh out very loud session near the end - in the office "scene". Great story and loved the Epilogue! Note that this book is full length although it only runs to 60% of the total. Lots of lovely sexy scenes in wonderful context with slow build up through the story. Recommended.

    Dorm Game Novella - 11% of book - definitely worth reading - not quite as good as the main book but still worth 5 stars. It seems a bit weird until you realise the "game".

    Straight Up Novella - 11% of book - again def worth reading - a moving story of "Straight" pretending guy in love with straight friend. Quite an emotional read - worth 5 stars too.

    The rest of the book is made up of first chapters of other books available. These I did not read as too frustrating to me to read a small sample. If I want to know what a book is like then I use the "Look Inside" feature of the book after I have located it in Amazon Kindle.

    This is the story of Trevor who is an intern at a communications company and is living with his life long friend who takes him out to a club where Trevor meets a tall dark stranger.. un beknown to him it happens to be his boss who hes not actually met yet! What happens when Trevor and Benjamin actually realise this??
    I really enjoy Daryls style of writing and always wish his stories could go on more and more.
    Would definitely recommend this book.

    This book is incredible, it had me from the beginning, but how do you review a book like this without giving away spoilers. It's not easy because I just want to blurt out everything I loved about it.

    Twenty year old Trevor Woodard is due to start an internship at Gage Communications a few weeks before his 21st birthday. He has always been focused on his studies, hard working, and he is determined to impress his new boss Benjamin Gage. And impress him he did, in more ways than one.

    Benjamin Gage is fierce, strong, smart, demanding, cocky, not to mention sexy and is owner of Gage Communications. At 33 he is self made, focused on his work, does what is necessary to get the job done and demands no less from his employees, but Ben has a softer side that he doesn't show to anyone but his dog Lancelot and he is lonely, but he would never admit that. 

    When Trevor meets Benjamin he falls at his feet, literally, and things change for both of them. There is a lot of sexual tension between these two as at first they try to deny their feelings for each other, but it was impossible for both of them.

    Hard for your Boss is not a typical office romance, but like most office romances they are usually a secret, until they're not, but how this couple is outed in the office is shocking and humiliating for Trevor and Ben and could end their relationship.

     I love the way Daryl writes this from both points of view, and instills this book with humour (I had a few laugh out loud moments), and a roller-coaster of emotions as we take this journey with Trevor and Ben.

    Daryl's warning in the blurb "Contains: HOT man-on-man action, inappropriate workplace relations, and a lot of bossing around!" is absolutely true and I loved every second of it.

    It's been a while since I've literally LOL, but guys... GUYS! I was reading this in bed while my SO slept peacefully beside me and I woke him up twice with my laughter. It's such a cute, sweet book with some serious funny thrown in.
    Trevor is just the sweetest character. He's got a plan with his college roommate to intern at the "in" place to get an internship, work super hard and go kick butt in the real world once they graduate. He's always been studious and conscious of the money that his parents saved for him to get his chance and he's more than grateful (I kinda wish all kids were as appreciative as Trevor). He's also naive having spent all that time studying didn't give him much (any) social life and he's maybe a bit repressed. Meeting his boss and the unusual situations they find themselves in over and over really helped him find himself and it was nice to watch this self discovery.
     
     
    Benjamin aka Ben to Trevor, was a character that I didn't know if I would like at first. I thought that he might turn out to be more of a player than he was and that was a pleasant surprise for me. That the only long term relationship he had up to this point was with his dog Lance made me wonder if he was capable of having a real relationship with Trevor. Especially since he has it all... money, a big name, a great company that he started from the ground up, access to celebrities. I really enjoyed watching Ben and Trevor navigate not only a relationship, but a working one that they are trying desperately to keep hidden. They have some of the hottest sexy times I've read in a long time. Daryl Banner can really write some steamy scenes!
     
     
    The story was so much fun and these two find some big trouble to get into. The secondary characters are great and I know that I'm going to be re-reading this one again and again.   It's a short, sweet, funny story and don't forget that there is extra content with the kindle version.

    Hard For My Boss, (YES! I found the title a tiny bit embarrassing. I live in the same house as two of my Grand-daughters and I had to keep hiding it.) Anyway, this story has everything you could desire in a tale, romance, sexy bits, two gorgeously handsome and lovely men, a very determined little dog, one nasty little shit, plus a whole lot of hilarious moments, a totally wonderful, entertaining story. The bit that had me spurt out a mouthful of coffee comes cutesy of Ben, and I quote:- “I have just the right idea,” she insists, then leans in and adds in a whisper, “I really like having a big, swollen cock in my mouth.” I lean in just the same and reply, “So do I.”

    Initially, I need to confess I found Ben a little unnerving and way too full of himself, but quickly I found that this was only a defensive mask and he was actually a big teddy bear.

    Trevor is, as Ben correctly stated, an old soul trapped in a young body. He is uptight, he is barely neurotic for controlling every step of his planned future life.

    They would need to surrender control when they meet and they do it on the most adorable way.

    This was another big hit of Daryl Banner. His creativity seems to be endless and even his plot twists and cliffhangers are quickly resolved for the sake of our hearts. Every single one of his stories are as warm as a blanket by the fire (with a mug of hot chocolate) and I would certainly recommend to everyone to read and enjoy all his lovely couples.

    This book has everything and I had a blast reading it. This book had parts that had me laughing out loud and if adulting hadn't gotten in the way I would have never put it down. It was awesome to watch Trevor come out of his shell and become a risk taker who finally learns to have fun. I enjoyed seeing Ben learn that he ca have real relationships with people outside of his dog. Trevor was easily my favorite person he has a kind soul and a very loyal person. Trufully though Ben's dog lance stole the show throughout the story. If your looking for laughs mixed with a bunch of sarcasm and a whole lot of cuteness this book is for you.
